Melissa Berry Appleton is the co-founder of a registered charity called ENSO Society for Contemplative Engagement. On this podcast, we talk about the yoga scene in Kelowna, silent retreats and their latest wilderness alpine expedition she directed for teens. The expeditions (ones for adults coming in the Spring) explores how to work with life's challenges and supports how to live life with more authenticity, creativity, and deep appreciative joy. Danielle Prins, a budding yoga teacher joins in as a second guest to talk about her experience on these trips as an assistant.

ABOUT

Melissa Berry Appleton is a Buddhist chaplain, psychotherapist, meditation teacher, embodiment & somatic movement practitioner.  She is a chaplain at the University of British Columbia Okanagan, and a psychotherapist with Interior Health physician groups. Melissa has a home studio known as 'The Domestic Monastery' where the Stillwater Zen Community gather to practice meditation.
